We knew it was coming and now, it is official. Panic, a company that makes well designed apps for the developers has now unveiled that the next version of Coda, the Coda 2 and also a brand new iPad app called Diet Coda is coming this May 24th.
The Coda 2 would bring in a lot of new features that we thought we’d ever want. The count has been 100 new features according to the company. While the desktop version of Coda is going to be amazing with a whole lot of features, the company has now officially announced that they are bringing in a new app for the iPad that would do all the work for you on the iPad.
The new iPad app would cost $9.99 and would be available in the App Store on 24th May. The Diet Coda would help make minor adjustments to the websites on the move. And that’s not all, the app will also feature AirPreview feature, letting your use AirPlay to edit your code.
As far as I am concerned, I use my MacBook Pro majorly for Coda. But now that the app is getting ported onto the iPad, I think it would pretty much reduce my MacBook Pro usage again. And also, Panic also has a similar thought on this:
Diet Coda takes everything we’ve ever learned about world-class web code editing, and wraps it up to-go. It’s packed with features, bathed in fun, ready to work.
So go on, take a vacation and only pack your iPad — you’ll get your job done, quickly and delightfully. It’s so good, you might never touch your desktop again.
So, its 24th May that we will be getting these two apps. I think Coda is making a super move with this kind of an app for the developers. You can view the teaser website that Panic has put up here.
