Google’s major rival and the largest search engine giant, Baidu is all set to launch the Baidu Cloud in China next week to battle Android out of the Chinese market!
Baidu has already been owning its own Mobile Operating System in China and is aiming at bringing their own branded hardware to the market. China has been the largest market for mobile devices and also the battle for mobile operating system has always lived there. Baidu’s launch would certainly affect the Google’s Android considering the fact that Baidu would have more customized and China focussed features on their Operating System.
Baidu’s VP of Engineering and Head of Mobile, Mr. Wang Jin said in a talk to Reuters that the company is working on partnering with smartphone makers and also, their already existing Yi OS would be called the Baidu Cloud as it launches next week! He did not reveal more information about the upcoming Operating System, but they are aiming at the global handset markets too in the coming months! The Baidu Cloud is expected to carry all the features that Android provides, that is, tight integration to Baidu and its services across China!
