Apple Store is down across the US and probably in other countries too. While the WWDC 2012 is nearing, this has triggered a considerable amount of hype again.
We reported that Apple has released an app for the WWDC 2012 attendees and also, the schedule for the events are now out. But looks like some backend work is happening over there at the Apple Store. The company’s online stores are down now, and now carries a “We’ll be back soon.” badge across all the stores.
We are not sure about the actual process, but we are being told that there’s going to be two instances of Apple Servers from now on for the Apple Store and the deployment is currently going on at the backend, while most of the countries are sleeping. This is to scale up the servers since Apple has got a series of launches planned at WWDC 2012 this year.
The keynote would start on June 11th 10:00 AM PT. And we will be there reporting live for you!
Update: Apple Store is now up with Nest Learning Thermostat. But for sure, this was not the reason for the store to go down two times in the last 12 hours. It was the server migration that’s been happening!
