Following the series of issues the company faced, Apple has decided to drop the 4G branding on their new iPad in some countries to have the customers clear of getting confused.
Theres been a series of problem that Apple has been facing since it started marketing the new iPad as the 4G enabled device across the globe, even in countries that were not compatible with the new iPad’s 4G chips. Considering this issue of misleading the customers, by branding the new device, wrong, the company has decided to drop the 4G branding on the ads and device specs on the website.
The rebranding has already been seen in countries like UK, Australia, the U.S., Canada, UAE, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, New Zealand, Malaysia, Ireland, and Hong Kong and is expected to spread to other countries as well. This was initially found by the guys over at 9to5Mac who got a copy of the Google Cache, which read 4G LTE and now reads WiFi + Cellular.
This come right after the company faced some serious legal issues from ACCC across various parts of the globe. And now, with this move, Apple would stay out of trouble in this confusion!
