Android users in trouble again! Some websites are automatically downloading malware onto the device!

A recent finding reveals that some websites are downloading malware automatically to the Android devices, without prior permission from the user.

We all know that some websites are infected with such bad malware in them, and the only popular way that we currently detect if malware is present is by Googling. So, if you are an Android user, you probably might have visited these infected websites from your Android device, and without prompting for a permission from you, the website would download malware onto your device.

This recent finding was made by Lookout Mobile, a company that makes mobile anti-virus solutions, revealing that there are a lot of websites on the internet that do these kind of stuff. The trojan goes by the name NotCompatible, and it gets automatically downloaded when a user visits the website that has got this trojan in it. Once it gets downloaded, it prompts the user to install it, making the user believe that it is a regular security update.

The trojan poses a major threat to the Enterprise users who are concerned about their private connections. NotCompatible leaps through only these information and nothing else at the moment. The trojan is living in pretty small websites that are not so popular and on the other hand, just imagine this trojan spreading itself to other huge websites on the internet.

Lookout Mobile expects that not many Android devices would have been infected with this trojan, but the security threat still does exist!
