Zite is a personalized magazine that is widely used by a lot of users on the iOS and now the app has arrived to the Android users via Google Play. The app is owned by CNN is now available for free on Google Play. The app is heavily competing with Flipboard, which is really marvelous and has probably revolutionized the way we read news on the go.
Zite is interesting since it keep analyzing the way you read posts on it and automatically gets better providing you with the most relavent content by recording the thumbs up and down voting for articles. The app also gives the users options to share the posts via Twitter and Facebook and you can sync you Google Reader feeds with it. This has posed a heavy competition to Google Currents, which also does a similar job, but has probably gone out of scene after Flipboard came with a new interface.
ZIte is currently supported only for the Android phones and is yet to get a toast of the tablet version. But we’re sure that CNN is working on a tablet version since it is their main area of concentration. We have contacted CNN for some updates and we will keep you posted as soon as we get a reply back from them.
