This Apple II Screensaver will make your Mac look like its running Apple II on it!

XScreenSaver will make your Mac look as if it is running Apple II on it, by running this boot process as the screensaver on your display!

There’s been a lot of tributes to the 35th Birthday of Apple II lately, but this one seems to interest me.  This new screensaver actually simulates the Apple II on your desktop, giving an impression that you are running Apple II on your Mac. This is actually a simulation of the one which was demoed by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak at the computer fair on April 16 and 17 1977.

Since then, the machine has revolutionized the way we have been using our computers. Ok, So let’s just pay some tribute to Apple II with this screensaver. All you need to do is just download the app from here, Mount the image on your computer, and run the Apple2.app from the package.

On the other hand, you can also install a separate screensaver that comes alone with the app. The screensaver simulates the VT100 Terminal emulator, along with random color flickers, old style screen noise, and behaves more like the how the Apple II behaved on those days.

So, just go ahead and grab a copy of the app from here.
