A recent reports suggests that Pinterest is now the third most popular social network website in the US, beating Google+. Initially, when Pinterest launched, there was NO hype for the social network and it slowly and steadily gained attention to become most popular social network for both the normal users and the businesses. Many websites saw a spike in their traffic when they shared their websites on Pinterest, and this quickly gained attention among a large number of users.

There were a lot of talks about this social network and this doesn’t mean that people would bring huge traffic burst to the website. But the network had real potential for all sectors like designers, business people, college grads, inspiration seekers, and much more than we could imagine.

The recent research comes from Experian, which says that Pinterest has climbed up to the third spot as the most popular social network in the US, after it saw a 50% increase in the traffic between January and February 2012. This not only climbed up the spot, but also kicked Google+ off its place. The social network is now behind Facebook and Twitter and has left Tumblr, LinkedIn and Google’s most important, Google+ behind it.
