Marvel releases augmented reality app for iOS and Android!

Marvel has released a new augmented reality application named “Marvel AR” which enables the users to point their device to a page of the Marvel Comic and the app immediately brings up a lot of information from how the page was drawn and the creator himself comes in and explains how he worked on that page. The app currently work for some limited comics from Marvel.

This is the first step in bridging the gap between the physical text book and the smartphone. And believe me, this app works like charm. You just point at a page of the comic and it brings you all the information tagged to that page. The app has been made in association with a company called Aurasma, which excels in bringing physical and virtual objects together with smartphone and other gadgets.

This is real technology and real app that really works. We hope we could see some more apps of this kind in the future (not so distant future, indeed), not just for the comics, but also for the regular text books and newspapers. This is a revolutionary FREE app on the App Store and Google Play Store.
