Not too far from now, Facebook and Google are going to setup their own local servers in India since the Indian Government has demanded for that.
According to a new report by The Hindustan Times, the Indian Government has requested the two major online web firms on the planet, Facebook and Google to set up a local datacenter in India to have control of the information these companies are obtaining from the users. Its not just Facebook and Google, some more web firms like Twitter and YouTube are also in the list.
Reports also say that these are already in progress and the new servers would soon go online with from India itself. Previously, BlackBerry was also ordered to setup their own servers in the country, concerning security issues. This issue was considered by the UPA Government and it wanted to regulate and remove the abusive and those content that does not comply to the online rules.
