Just a while ago, IMDb app for Android smartphones and tablets got updated to support high definition video streaming capability. The users can now choose between 720p and 480p streaming standards while watching the trailers on the device. A more flexible option has also been added to the app that allows the users to set the default streaming rates for different network configurations like WiFi and 3G.
This pretty much looks like a regular update and there were some bug fixes in this version. The bug that did not let some trailers play on the Galaxy S II has now been fixed in this update. Thid is in par with the iTunes Movie Trailers app from Apple, which was updated to stream HD movie trailers for the new iPad’s Retina Display recently.
