Google today officially announced that they have pushed an update to their social network, Google+. The update is pretty significant and Google has made Google+ more functional and flexible now. The update has now brought a sidebar, which looks very similar to the Facebook’s new chat bar, which comfortably sits at the right-hand-side of the screen. Google has also updated the new navigation ribbon, which includes the following changes:
- Drag apps up or down and rearrange as you want.
- Hover over certain apps to reveal a set of quick actions
- Show or hide applications by moving in or out of the “More” field
This is a pretty big feature that we never thought we would want. The improved navigation menu has been getting some rave reviews from the users and not all the members of our team liked this concept and thought they were distracting. The conversation now includes full size photos, full screen videos, a cool new conversation cards and another feature called the activity drawer.
There are also some minor improvements to the social network, which are pretty noticeable. But do you use Google+? And how well are the new feature improvements working out for you?
