Apple has lost the appeal to bring back the Push Notifications service to the iOS users in Germany to the German Court. The court has ordered that the restrictions holds still and the company will not be able to send Push Notifications to Germany’s users. The original decision was taken in February by the German court and Apple appealed to lift this injunction. The court was adjurned since the issue is related to the Mobile Communication Standards, and the date for the next hearing is yet to be announced.
Looks like the German court is completely with Motorola and has ordered Apple to give a huge amount to the company for the damages. Apple has also put up a separate page for the German users informing about the Push services being disabled. So, if you are in Germany, and rely on the Apple’s Push Notification services for emails and other services, its not going to work for sometime now. Atleast until the German court pulls off the ban on Apple.
