Foxconn to increase Salary and reduce working hours for its employees!

Foxconn’s Chairman, Mr. Terry Gou has announced that the company would be increasing the salary for its employees and reduce the working hours and expect this cycle to continue to improve the working conditions. This comes after the controversy that shot up regarding the working conditions of the Foxconn employees in the iPhone and iPad production units. This move seems to be on the side of the employees relieving some pressure from them during the higher demand days of the iPad and iPhone.

The Foxconn’s Chairman spoke told the Reuters that the workers would get more pay for less working hours very soon.

“We are a saying now in the company, ‘you work fewer hours, but get more pay’. We won’t stop here and will continue to increase salaries. Salaries in Brazil are even higher but we will continue with our investments there. We’ve just entered a deal with Hainan Airlines and they will eventually be our way of connecting our supply chain (from China to Brazil).”

Recently, after Tim Cook met with the Foxconn employees, Apple went into a mutual agreement to improve the working conditions of the employees and also to improve the safety measures for them. Foxconn is the major company that supplies almost 50% of the electronics. This could probably change the way other countries get work from China.
