Apple has quietly made a roll-out to its iBooks Publishers on the new iTunes VIP Discounts for its products. The discounts are very hefty with upto $500 offers.

Apple today started pushing a new iTunes VIP Discount scheme, which lets the iBooks Publishers to purchase its products, at a very discounted price. The company is giving discounts of upto $500 to $60 and is expected to make an official announcement soon. The discounts are currently available via the iTunes Connect to the iBooks Publishers.
It is still unclear if this is available for all the iBooks Publishers or if its restricted to the major publishers on the iBooks Store. As a iBooks Publisher, I can only get two of the same products at a discounted price. The products include almost the entire line-up of major Apple devices like the iPod, iPad and the Mac Computers.
This is currently believed to be present only in the United States. We have reached out to Apple to find out more about this, and We would update you as soon as we hear from them.
