60 Hours Of Video Are Uploaded Every Minute On YouTube!

YouTube launched back in 2005, with an aim to bring video sharing at ease for the users. And when Google acquired YouTube, the largest online video sharing website was sharing over 24 hours of videos in 2010. And now, in just an year, the increase has been tremendous. A recent statistics reveals that there are 60 hours of videos being uploaded to YouTube every minute on YouTube. This is about 25% increase when compared to the statistics revealed about eight months back.

This statistics was revealed in an Official blogpost and they now have onehourpersecond.com that showcases an interactive collection of the background process that is happening on YouTube every second. Here’s the video that depicts the YouTube’s current statistics:

And here’s an excerpt from the blogpost:

For all the hours of video you’re uploading—you’re watching more as well; we’ve now exceeded four billion video views globally every day. That’s up 30 percent in the last eight months and the equivalent of more than half the world’s population watching a video every day, the same number as there are US $1 bills in circulation, the same as number of years since there was water on Mars…it’s a big number, and you’re making it bigger every day.
