Windows Phone hits China with HTC Eternity in a special media event by Microsoft!

Finally, China has got its first official Windows Phone devices in its market. As we reported earlier, Microsoft held a special event in Beijing to celebrate the launch of Windows Phone devices in the Cinese market with the launch of HTC Eternity. The device sports Windows Phone 7.5 and would come unlocked until some carriers pick it up. The device has a complete Chinese language support and comes in a neatly designed 4.7-inches screen, dual cameras and some really cool free apps pre-loaded in it.

We initially thought that Nokia would be the first to bring the Windows Phone devices to the Chinese market, but then, HTC jumped in as a surprise. But still, Nokia would bring the Lumia series of devices to China and is expected to do well, since we already saw loads of users already using the Lumia devices unofficially in the country.

Since China has the largest mobile base than any other country, this new step is expected to boost the Microsoft’s Windows Phone marketshare by some percent this year. But still, watchout Microsoft, Apple has already stepped in.
