Considered to be the world’s most cheapest tablet, Aakash, made by the Indian Government has got some good news now. The Upgraded version of the tablet will be available for the same price in April. The new device would come with a 700MHz Cortex A8 processor with a 3200mAH battery and a regular capacitive touch screen.
Mr. Sibal, says that the upgrade is being made to overcome the difficulties faced with the tablet’s performance in the hands of the customers. They are currently facing issues with the production of the tablet and the first slot of devices are yet to arrive in the hands of the customers who have pre-ordered it online.
The main aim of the Aakash tablet project is to get the tablets to the students and make their studying interesting. We already have one at our office and the Google Play is still under testing in these devices. The processor improvements are definitely welcoming and would make sure that the tablet would open-up to Google Play soon.
