Note: The following apps have been updated for the iPad’s Retina Display, and runs on 2048 x 1536 resolution. Some apps are restricted to the new iPad only.
Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy
Price: $4.99
The stunningly superb game was demoed at the Keynote presentation of the new iPad media event and since then, the game has created huge amount of hype among the crowd. This was the game we installed first when we got our hands-on the new iPad and we were mind-blown by its graphics and also the easy-to-use gestures to control the flight.
You will need to dogfight the enemies in your jet you’d be controlling with gestures and tilt-motions. The game also lets you invite friends to join and the graphics, like realistic lighting, shadows, city’s 3D depth and a stunning visual experience are just amazing, and makes this app top the charts for the list of must-have apps for the new iPad.

iPhoto
Price: $4.99
Another app that was demoed at the Keynote presentation was the iPhoto. The app felt very powerful and made us feel like we don’t need an Instagram anymore on our iDevices. So, you’ve got the new iPad and this would be one of those apps with a pretty complex interface with a lot of options optimized for the Retinal Display.
The app offers a lot of ways to tweak your photos on the go, and sometimes made us feel that it is much better than the iPhoto for Mac. The iPhoto takes full advantage of every pixel on the iPad (3.1 million pixels). The app is worth the money if you are one of those who edit photos on the go.

Tweetbot for iPad
Price: $2.99
Another great app that got huge attention was Tweetbot for the iPhone initially. When the app was released for the iPhone, the company said they had no plans of bringing it to the iPad. But later, looking at the demand, the company bought the app to the iPad and it was an instant hit. And when the new iPad came out, Tweetbot was probably the first Twitter client to update itself to the iPad’s Retina Display.
The new Tweetbot for iPad takes advantage of ever single pixel on the iPad and gives us a crystal clear look at the tweets in its own, gorgeous way.
