Samsung has announced the 10.1-inches version of the next Galaxy Tab 2 powered by Android. This is the major overhaul since the original Galaxy Tab came to the market. The new tablet comes with a 10.1-inch 1280×800 LCD display powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor with a 1GB RAM and runs a custom ROM of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. As expected, the device comes with a 3G + Wi-Fi and also a Wi-Fi only version. There is also an option to choose between a 16GB and 32GB internal storage. and can be expanded. The camera is not so great since it only has a 3.2MP camera in the back and has a VGA camera on the front.
The pricing is yet to be announced by the company and is expected to be priced reasonably good when it hits the market. The tablet is set to launch in the UK later next month along with the 7-inche Galaxy Tab. And surprisingly, the company says that both the versions of the tablet are optimized for Home and Family users. I just wonder why they haven’t concentrated about the enterprise users yet. The new Galaxy Tab 2’s display would be amazing and other than these added features, there are slight modifications to the built, with speakers coming to the front, rather than the sides. The picture might give us a perception that the device would be bulky, but the actual device would weigh less than what we expect it to be.
