Samsung Electronics launched two new Series 5 Ultrabooks in India priced at Rs. 48, 990 for 13-inches and Rs. 54, 390 for 14-inches model.
Samsung India has launched the first of its kind Ultrabook in India that are quite affordable. The company unveiled two new Series 5 ultrabooks with 13 and 14-inches screen size. The 13-inches model sports the Intel Core i5 processor with a 8GB RAM. But this device comes with just 64GB SSD for storage, but is expandable unto 500GB. The 14-inches model is pretty decent and sports the same configuration as that of the 13-inches ultrabook but come with AMD Radeon HD7550M 1GB graphics card and also 1TB HDD and a 16GB SSD.
The ultrabooks ultra light and comes with a very powerful battery and both the ultrabooks promises to give 6.5 hours of battery life for a single charge. Both the Series 5 ultrabooks come with the new ExpressCache™ technology that enhances the overall performance of the device by reducing the boot time to just 20 seconds. This is pretty amazing but we clocked 28 seconds while booting up the device for the first time, which is not pretty bad either.
Other than these features, the Ultrabooks come with HDMI port, a USB 3.0 port, two USB 2.0 ports with a 4-in-1 SD card slot. And the ethernet port and a webcam also come with both the devices as a default option. We think the USB 3.0 port is a very cool addition for an ultra book.
Interestingly, the device comes with Optical Drives and Samsung also offers an upgrade path from Optical Drive to a Blue-Ray drive. Coming to the pricing, the device is priced at Rs. 49, 990 and Rs. 54, 390 for 13-inches and 14-inches laptop respectively!
