Samsung has launched a new online service called the Samsung eStore, which lets you order its products online and offers free shipping. This comes right after Nokia partnered with IndiaTimes to sell its products online in the huge Indian market. Currently the store offers online mobile devices and not the home electronics.
Samsung has seen India as its growing market and has already started its bid for bringing in the 4G devices to the Indian market. The 4G is about to hit the masses on March 20th from AirTel and Samsung is expected to roll out the first official 4G capable device here in India along with the mobile carrier.
Even though Samsung has opted to sell its products online, the company is missing out of its pricing concerns. The products are still priced slightly higher than that of Flipkart and other online merchants selling the same products. This strategy would take a huge hit in the Indian market, given the fact that Flipkart has already proved itself as the standard platform for online sales.
