Samsung Israel’s Facebook page accidentally revealed that the Samsung Galaxy S II devices would get a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich on March 15th. The post was then deleted from the Fan page for unknown reasons and here’s the translation of the post on Facebook:
We promised we were working on it. You waited patiently. And on 15 March it’ll arrive: Android version 4, ICS, to tens of thousands of GALAXY S II devices purchased from cellular companies in the country or directly from us. We are very excited for the launch, hope you are too 🙂
This might just be a mistake or a rumor. But this seems to be coming out from Samsung’s Israel Facebook page, and that is what the news is all about. If the update comes to the Israel phones, then other markets with Galaxy S II are expected to get the update on the same day probably. This is just a hint from Samsung. We have gotten in touch with Samsung regarding this and we would get back to you as soon as we hear from them.
