A little while ago, we reported that Angry Birds Space would get super cool levels exclusive to Galaxy Note on ICS. But now, it looks like there’s some set back on Samsung’s side to get the ICS ported onto Galaxy Note. The update has now been delayed to Q2 this year concerning issues with the Premium Suite of S-Pen Software. This might let the users of Galaxy Note down. But wait, there’s more to this news. The ICS update will also come with a host of premium apps specifically made for the S-Pen using its native SDK. The S-Pen is one of the USPs of the phablet on which Samsung is betting on.
Samsung has not revealed the timeframe of the release, but just revealed that the update would roll-out in Q2 this year. “The availability and scheduling of the software upgrade will vary by market and wireless carriers’ requirements.”, Said Samsung. There are also speculations that TouchWiz is coming to these devices along with the ICS upgrade. Samsung’s Galaxy Note would be among those 1.6% of the devices that have adopted Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which was unveiled a year ago at Google IO 2011.
Adding to this, and to keep the users intact, Samsung has released a video demoing Ice Cream Sandwich on Samsung Galaxy Note:
