OMGPOP acquired by Zinga for $210M. Thinks ‘Draw Something’ is incredible and wild ride!

One of the most popular and huge online gaming company, Zinga has acquired the developer of Draw Something app, OMGPOP for $210 million. OMGPOP is a six-year old gaming studio, which unveiled Draw Something for both iOS and Android. The game is super fun and addictive and became an instant hit after it got released for free on the App Store. The game also reached a huge number of users and grabbed a lot of attention among the crowd. And today, Zinga, has acquired the developers for $210 million.

There were over 30 million downloads of the game from the App Store and Android Market with over 3000 drawings being shared per second and a lot of dealing was made by Zinga to acquire the game developers. This is not new to Zynga since the company has already acquired 14 gaming companies in the past 12 months.

Zynga told the news in a special conference call and OMGPOP’s CEO, Mr. Dan Porter said:

“Draw Something has been an incredible and wild ride.”
