Nokia’s Design Chief has confirmed that the Finnish mobile maker is working on a new tablet that would probably be powered by Windows 8. There’s been reports earlier that Nokia has been working on a tablet and now, a recent newspaper interview to Kauppalehti by Marko Ahtisaari has confirmed this news. In the interview, Marko just said, “we are working on it” and that he is spending 1/3rd of his time with the new device.
Reportedly, a Nokia spokesperson has said:
”We continue to eye the tablet space with interest, but have made no specific announcements.”
This gives us a hint of what would be coming from the company this year. Other Sources from Asia has revealed that Nokia is already in the process of designing and manufacturing the tablet. The tablet would be a 10.1-inch Windows 8 tablet and would sport a dual-core Qualcomm processor.
With a lot of Windows 8 tablets waiting for release this year, which is considered to be an already late in the market devices, Nokia’s tablet might win or might fail at the current situation. We just contacted Nokia India for their comments on this and we would update you as soon as we hear from them.
