Nokia 808 PureView announced: Belle OS, 41 sensor Camera and 4-inches display!

Nokia has gone to that extent that many wanted them to go. The company has unveiled the Nokia 808 PureView at the Mobile World Congress 2012 at Barcelona, Spain last week. This phone is a real beast from Nokia that not many people expected them to do. The 808 PureView is an imaging flagship phone and a successor to the existing Nokia N8.

The phone comes with the Symbian Belle OS run by a 1.3GHz single-core processor, which is slightly faster than the HTC One V and a low, 512MB RAM module in it. You are given with a 16GB onboard storage with an expandable microSD port. The screen is a HD 4-inches screen and a typical 360×640 resolution. And now, here’s the best part of this beast. The phone comes with a new Carl Zeiss-lens and it can shoot a continuous 1080p video at full HD resolution. The phone claims to have a 41-megapixel when you shoot a picture and performs at 34-megapixel for 16:0 images.

The technology is pretty exciting behind it. Since it is a combination of sub-pixel interpolation that can combine 5-megapixel into one on the lens. The company has posted a detailed working structure of the lens on their website from which you will get a better idea on how this is acheived. We will go hands-on with the phone very soon and our reviews will be out soon. The phone is expected to hit the market anytime next quarter for €450. If you think you are a camera buff, then hold your breathe. This phone might be your best friend in your pocket.
