Dropbox has updated their Android app to automatically upload the devices’ photos to the user’s private Dropbox folder.
Dropbox, one of the largest cloud storage service provider has updated their Android app to enable automatic photo uploads to the users’ private folder. The service works just like how iCloud Photo Stream and Google+ for Android works. All it does is upload the photos that you take automatically to your account using either WiFi or the cellular data.
The photos you take are uploaded with full size and high quality without any compressions involved to your private folder under Camera Uploads, from which you will be able to share the with your friends and family. And the best part is, you will be able to preview the photos you upload over the web application of Dropbox which more or less looks like that or Droplr!
Coming to the storage, there are rumors that the cloud based service is working to integrate 50GB of storage in Android devices. And even if the rumors are fake, you can get 3GB of extra storage with Dropbox by testing out the beta versions of the app! With this new feature addition to Dropbox, do you think iCloud and Google+ automatic photo uploads will take a hit?
