After months of testing and some intense feature development, Microsoft has released the Consumer Preview of the company’s next flagship Operating System, Windows 8. Steven Sinofsky, took stage at an event in Mobile World Congress 2012 and announced the public beta of Windows 8.
Windows 8 was unveiled back in September 2011 by Steven Sinofsky at a not so impressive keynote presentation at Microsoft’s Premium BUILD conference. And as promised, the company has let out the public beta of the operating system. We can now get our hands-on with the new operating system and the final version will also depict the same features and interface.
The Consumer Preview comes with over 100, 000 changes made to the operating system (Both minor and major) since the developer preview was released. You can grab a copy of Windows 8 here. Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions are available for download.
