ASUS announces Padfone: A smartphone, tablet and a laptop! [AIO]

We have been expecting this to come for sometime now from ASUS and now, its for real. The company has announced an innovative device called the Padfone, which they say is a triplet. Its a Phone, Tablet and a Laptop. Basically a All-in-One device from ASUS. So what about the Stylus? Well, it is the headphone itself! Read on to know more.

The ASUS Padfone comes with a 4.3-inches Super AMOLED HD screen which is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor and a a F2.2 “5-element camera. And now, let’s talk more about the design and the triplet formation of the device. Well, this is a bit tricky. The phone, actually docks into the tablet’s body, which almost looks like the ASUS Transformer Prime and this forms the tablet and a phone in a single device. Now, how do you transform this into a laptop? That is pretty simple and might make your eyebrow go a little up. The tablet (Which now has the phone docked into it), will inturn dock into a keyboard, thus making it a full fledged laptop.

Now comes the Stylus. Yes, the device that Steve Jobs hates. The Stylus in the Padfone is actually the devices’ headphones. It looks like a pen, but then it has a mic and a speaker onboard. The device setup is like a kind of assembly and we just need to wait until we really see how well this would work in out market. The device runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich and will be available for the consumers next month (April).
