Yes! Vodafone and Richard Nicoll has teamed up to introduce a new range of handbags that would let you charge your smartphone inside the handbag using Inductive Charging.
Inductive Charging technology is catching up and here’s another example of the real world use to it. A new range of handbags have been introduced by Vodafone, that lets the user to charge her smartphone when placed inside. Designed by Richard Nicoll, the handbag is in clean white and was showcased at the London Fashion Week last month.
The handbag is capable of charging via a magnetic induction cable. And once the handbag charges up fully, you’d be able to use the regular USB charger cable to put your iPhone, iPod, iPad or BlackBerry to charge, right inside the handbag. The team also reveals that the handbag is capable of holding charge for days and not hours. Then it should be able to charge a smartphone from 0 to Full. What’s very cool in this product is the LED indication for phone alerts, like when you receive a call or when you get a message.

I think this is a very cool product that many would have wanted. May be in the future, this technology would scale upto plugging in your laptops into your bags. That would be the coolest thing that would excite me if it comes out!
