Microsoft is gearing up for a public beta of Windows 8 in February. The company will also expected to release the RTM version of Windows 8 in June!
Microsoft has just let the 8160.0.winmain.111122-1913 build out to the developers and have been making some clear progress towards the SDLC to complete the next major release of their OS, Windows 8. TNW reports that the beta version of the OS will be out in February, and the Windows team is working hard towards it, some internal sources have confirmed it to TNW.
And according to the timeline that Windows team has currently, looks like the company will miss a demo at CEO 2012 this year. But talking about the next version of Microsoft Office Suite, the company have planned to demo a version of Office 15 with a Metro interface at CES 2012, which is scheduled to happen in January 2012. Another source has also confirmed that an escrow build will be passed on later this year to move a step further to the beta build.
Many reports have been floating around the internet with leaks of information about the new feature additions that have been made to the start screens and Windows Media Center will also be made available with Windows 8. There are also new hard disk formats to manage larger HDD and one such thing that came out was the ReFS partitioning method in Windows 8. Some of the recent reports have also been telling that the Windows 8’s interest level has declined lately for the tablet market!
