Print a file by using Drag-Drop on Mac OS X [How-to]

A new trick in Mac OS X would allow you to just drag-drop a document you need to print on the Printer icon and the printer would print it instantly!

This cool new trick in Mac OS X helps you print any document you want to print with a difference. Instead of queuing files up, start the pooling process and other typical printing process. With this trick, you could now just drag and drop a file onto the printer icon you would be creating, and the file would get printed instantly.

All you need to do is to just Open System Preferences, and drag drop the Printer icon onto your Desktop, drop a file onto the icon to make it print, and you’ll be done!

How to print a file through Drag-Drop method on Mac OS X?

Here’s how you could do so:

  1. Open System Preferences
  2. Click the Print & Scan option
  3. Choose which printer from which you want to print documents
  4. Drag and drop the desired Printer icon onto your Desktop
  5. Now, to print a file immediately, all you need to do is Drag and drop the file onto the Printer icon you placed on your desktop!
