Microsoft goes big on iOS with two consecutive apps: SkyDrive and Kineticmals!

Microsoft has released both the SkyDrive and Kineticmals for iOS back to back in two consecutive days. You now have the freedom of storing 25GB of data on the cloud and also have some fun with Kineticmals!

Looks like Microsoft is now supporting iOS to kick out Android. And not too long from now, we could see the two true giants join hands indirectly to kick off the ugly and sluggish Android off from the Market. Microsoft has now released it’s whooping 25GB capacity per user, cloud service, the SkyDrive for the iOS device. Besides the SkyDrive for iOS, the company has also released the Kineticmals for iOS for $2.99.

In general, as you can see, Google has got its own cloud service for the Android devices, and iCloud is for the iPhone and SkyDrive is for the Windows Phones. Now, Microsoft has extended its support for the iOS users to have SkyDrive in their pockets. The SkyDrive app is now available for two platforms, the iOS and the Windows Phone 7.

The SkyDrive app helps you view, upload, delete and manage your data on the cloud just with a few taps. The app is neat, tidy and is highly usable with Collection views and Thumbnail views. It almost feels like we are on the web interface, since the app shows all the details you get on the web interface. There are some minor changes in the UI when compared to the app for Windows Phone 7 and iOS, but whatever, this is a blow for all those who use SkyDrive regularly to store their data online!

The app is now available for download right now on the Windows Marketplace and iTunes App Store. This bridges the gap between these smartphone platforms when it comes to cloud sharing and storage.
