TextEdit is one of the most popular Word Processing software that comes along with the Mac OS X. The software is good enough for majority of the tasks, but it misses out the default Word Count functionality. No worries. Thanks to the power of Apple Script. You can now enable Word Count in Text Edit with ease and make it work just like any other powerful word processing software for Mac.
