Check Mac’s warranty status using your Mac or the Web!

Mac OS X now allows you to check your Mac’s warranty with less effort. A new option in the System Information gives you the details of your warranty! 

Just imagine! What if your Mac goes off and you are out of warranty? Do we ever want this? No right? Mac OS X has a way to check your Mac’s AppleCare warranty with just a single click. The warranty dates from the date of purchase of your Mac till the date to which you have extended it to be!

So, here’s a quick tutorial on how you could check your Mac’s warranty with ease right from your Mac! There are two methods you can take to check your Mac’s warranty! One is using the default Mac’s System Information option, and the other deign the typical Online method to check your Mac’s warranty! Either ways, both are almost similar. But, just for you, let me explain both the ways!

Using the System Information app to check warranty!

As I told earlier, the Mac’s System Information app has a way to check your Mac’s warranty! All you need to do is just follow these steps. And you’d be done!

  1. Click on the Apple Menu (?) and Choose About This Mac.
  2. Now, this would become a Dialog Box that gives you some basic info. Select More Info button!
  3. Now, Click on the Service button on the menu that appears.
  4. Now, select Check My Service and Support Coverage Status link.
  5. And you’re almost done! This would give you your warranty Information!

Using the Apple’s Support Website to check Warranty!

The other way to check your Mac’s, as well as other Apple hardware warranty is by using the Apple’s Support website. Here’s how you could do so:

  1. From your browser, navigate to https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do
  2. Enter the Serial Number of your device and choose the country (Place of Residence) and Click Continue!.
  3. Now, click See Your Service and Support Coverage link.
  4. This would show you all the warranty information of your device!
Remember to check your Apple Device’s warranty regularly! This would be of great help if your device crashes or encounters those situation that you ever wanted to happen!
