Bazaar is for Windows Phone 7 Homebrew Apps – Opens door for new opportunities!

Bazaar is a new place for installing home-brew apps on your Windows Phone 7. It’s an alternative to Windows Phone Marketplace and helps to host the apps that are rejected from the Marketplace.

Cydia for iPhone is still the host for all those apps that gets rejected from the iTunes App Store. So what about Windows Phone 7? Well, they’ve got one now. Bazaar is a new app that would let you get all those apps that you ever wanted officially via Marketplace but have been rejected due to various closed source policies.

What’s so interesting about this app? Well, you don’t need a PC to install these apps. All you need is to get the app installed on your Windows Phone 7. With Bazaar, you could install some cool tweaks, hacks and other apps that would be made available in the Bazaar. The news comes from the highly active XDA Developers Forum, and here’s what it says about Bazaar:

Meet Bazaar – an alternative Windows phone Marketplace.
Bazaar is an application that will allow you to browse applications by categories, share, download and install them directly within your device without the need to connect your device to your PC.

The app is still in Beta and is not very stable. All you need to do is to install the .xap file that’s attached in the thread and see it work. The team behind it has got some future enhancements to be done. Here’s what the team has been planning to do with the app:

• Creating an account within Bazaar
• Managing favorites applications list and the ability to download and install them as a batch process (very useful after reset/flashing new ROM version)
• Add ratings and comments for applications
• Submit new applications via Bazaar web site
• Online search in Bazaar applications repository
• And many more…

The Bazaar runs on all the ROMs that supports .xap installation. You can get some more information about Bazaar here and suggest some features too.
