SiriProxy lets you add functionalities to answer your custom requests!

Siri Proxy is a custom proxy server, that lets you add custom Siri commands to answer your questions, allowing the developers to add functionality to Siri.

Plamoni, a developer has posted a small proxy server that would let you add custom handlers to get different responses from Siri. This would give developers a range of opportunities to add custom functionalities to their applications using Siri.

This comes right after Applidium’s Reverse Engineering process which I posted earlier on Siri and how it contacts and processes your requests with the Apple’s Servers. The developer has built this upon this process and has posted a complete tutorial on the Github page. Looks like the guy has already used this proxy server with Thermostat, and has successfully processed custom Siri commands like “What’s the status of the thermostat?” and “Set the thermostat to 68 degrees”, etc.,

This is a very cool find from the developer and have given a whole new way of adding custom Siri commands in real-life. Here’s the demo video that he has posted:

If you are planning to mess up with the code, the setup instructions have been posted on the Github page itself. This is not too difficult to implement. And I am trying to implement it on my system!
