The iOS 5 Tech Talk World Tour will kickoff today (November 2nd) at Berlin and will continue its tour until January 23 2011. The tour would cover coding techniques and other essential tips to make apps richer.
Apple announced that it will take iOS 5 on a world tour recently at a website dedicated to it. And the first ever iOS 5 tour starts at Berlin Today at 9:00 AM. The Tour aims at bringing some advanced coding techniques up-front to the iOS developers, to make their apps look better and richer.
Apple has planned for a very neat agenda for the tour starting with some basic stuffs to check with your app to advanced coding standards and such. The event is restricted ONLY to the developers on the iOS Developers’ Program. Apple is taking this tour to nine cities at present.
Here’s what Apple has to say about this tour:
We want to help iOS developers take their apps to the next level using the exciting new technologies in iOS 5. Our team of experts will visit nine cities around the world, covering advanced coding and design techniques that you can take advantage of in your apps. Since Tech Talks are highly technical, it’s important that you have experience programming with the iOS SDK and have an app actively in development or on the App Store.
I think this is a super cool move by Apple to push the developers build rich native applications for the iOS devices. And also, this would largely benefit the developers, since many users go by the concept of “Richer is your app, the higher I am ready to pay” model. We will be joining hands with other developers when iOS 5 team arrives at London on November 7th.
We are pretty excited about this since a whole lot of Apple folks will be present for the sessions. We wish we had a live blog set-up for you. But unfortunately, we aren’t allowed to do that at the event. We would try tweeting some happenings though.
Let us know if you have got some queries for the iOS team in the comments and we will pass it on!
