Hotspot Shield, known for providing Internet Privacy for desktops and browsers, is now bringing their service to iOS devices through a dedicated app that would protect your privacy once again on mobile devices.
Hotspot shield is one of the largest free VPN service providers, known for their secure and private desktop browsing is coming soon to iOS devices near you very soon. The new mobile app would give you access to the service seamlessly across the horizon right on your mobile devices.
The app is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch and is expected to support from iOS 3.0 onwards. This would be the first app for the iOS devices that would provide this kind of service on your mobile. The app would also push you through some more bandwidth on your mobile, by acting as a bandwidth compressor, since the company uses some special algorithms to reduce the bandwidth consumption.
The new app will also provide a secure connection to the service on the go. But all these on the go services comes with a catch. The mobile app is NOT free, and will carry a cost factor attached to it. The app will come as a free download but the in-app purchase to the service would cost $0.99 per month or $9.99 per year.
David Gorodyansky, CEO & Co-Founder of Hotspot Shield shares his thought about the new mobile app of their service:
“The convenience of doing business on mobile devices is now offset by growing privacy and security risks and the skyrocketing cost of mobile data plans.
With Hotspot Shield for iOS, we provide a fast, cheap and secure gateway to all Internet content from anywhere in the world. As Web users increasingly turn to mobile devices, they are counting on Hotspot Shield to provide the same protection and access to a free Web on their phones that we already enable on their personal computers. We’re excited about our new app, which allows all mobile users of Hotspot Shield to stay secure and save money.”
The app is coming with complete multi-tasking capability, thus allowing us to run the app in the background and browse through the internet with secure data packets floating around. Here’s a short video of the new app coming to us:
Are you using Hotspot Shield? Are you going to pay for their subscription model on your iDevices?
