Apple to unveil Refurbished iPhone 4 in India for Rs. 22K [News]

Apple has been reportedly preparing to unveil the refurbished iPhone 4 in India for Rs. 22, 500 for the 16GB model. This is a very good move and the user base is expected to burst in India for Apple.

While Apple is expected to release their new iPhone 4S in India, the 2nd largest mobile market in the world, on November 25th, here’s another interesting news that the Cupertino based company would start selling Refurbished iPhone 4 in the country.

The refurbished iPhone 4 will be available at a lower price starting from Rs. 22, 500 for the 16 GB model and upwards. If you are wondering what refurbished iPhone are, here’s the explanation:

Refurbished iPhones are the ones that comes back to Apple from the customer with some minor defects or issues. When returned to Apple, they are sent to the manufacturing units again and are checked for defects, correct them and change some old parts into newer ones and then sell it back to the customers at a subsidized rate. These devices also comes with the full one-year warranty that Apple and also with all the regular features that Apple provides for the new device.

And when talking to some of the iStore employees, they are still not aware of this plan from Apple. But one guy, who manages the regional trading for the device seems to be aware. So the official confirmation will be sent out soon to the stores after they clear all the selling customs.

iPhone 4 is also running out of stock ahead of iPhone 4S launch in India! So, this is a good sign and we can now expect a few Apple stores soon in Bangalore and Chennai.
