Google pulls the plug off Google Buzz!

Google has officially announced that they are shutting down the not so popular Google Buzz, in a official blogpost.

This is a well expected news for a long time, after the launch go the company’s new social network, Google+.But today, in an official blogpost, Google has confirmed that they are shutting down their old service, Google Buzz.

The company will also shutdown the Buzz API, and will shift the focus primarily on Google+. If you think you need to save your Google Buzz posts, the company has provided us with a tool called the Google Takeout. The service’s lab website, will also be shutdown, and the project has been completely ramped down.

Here’s what the company has to say about Google Buzz:
We aspire to build great products that really change people’s lives, products they use two or three times a day. To succeed you need real focus and thought—thought about what you work on and, just as important, what you don’t work on. It’s why we recently decided to shut down some products, and turn others into features of existing products.
Other services like Code Search will also be shut down. Here’s what Google says about shifting their focus to Google Plus:
Changing the world takes focus on the future, and honesty about the past. We learned a lot from products like Buzz, and are putting that learning to work every day in our vision for products like Google+. Our users expect great things from us; today’s announcements let us focus even more on giving them something truly awesome.
RIP Google Buzz!
