Fix “Could not activate iPhone 4S” Error by AT&T servers

AT&T’s servers are currently jammed due to the iPhone 4S activation. And the servers are throwing a “Could not activate iPhone 4S” error to new users.

The covers are up and Apple has started selling their new baby, iPhone 4S to their customers. As a result, the AT&T servers are not able to hold up the huge number of iPhone 4S activations. The servers are throwing up a new Cloud not activate iPhone 4S error to new users.

This insane error could be due to the easy in-device activation procedure that comes with iOS5. This message has spread widely to almost half the users who are trying to activate their iPhone 4S. The error says:

“Your activation is still pending. You will receive an email notification once your activation is complete.

We’re sorry. There was a problem connecting to the server. Please try again later.”

A huge number of users are now stuck at the Activation screen. Apple has not only crashed the ISPs in the UK but also the activation servers. The users are now stuck at the screen that reads “Activation” and with a message,

“It may take up to 3 minutes to activate your iPhone.”

The error not only occurs on iPhone 4S, but also on iTunes, when users try to activate their iPhone 4S via iTunes. There are some solutions that would probably work for your device’s activation.

One way is to call up AT&T’s 611 and activate via the prompt that they give. And the other method would be to just be patient until the servers are back up at AT&T.

Earlier on October 12th, almost half the users were facing iTunes Error 3200 while installing iOS 5 onto their devices. That error was due to the Apple’s server crashes. But this time, its for the AT&T servers.
