Apple today officially confirmed that the company has sold over 4 million devices of iPhone 4S in the First Weekend alone. And the device is coming to 22 more countries on October 28th.
Apple unveiled their next generation of iPhone at a Special Let’s talk iPhone event at their famous Town Hall with not so exciting talks, since their minds were occupied by Steve Jobs’ health condition that morning. Despite the not so welcoming release of the new iPhone, the company has sold over 4 million iPhone 4S’ in the First Weekend alone.
Phil Schiller, Apple’s VP of Worldwide Product Marketing says, “iPhone 4S is off to a great start with more than four million sold in its first weekend—the most ever for a phone and more than double the iPhone 4 launch during its first three days.”.
And despite the success of the new iPhone 4S, Apple also unveiled their next big version of their iOS called the iOS5 on October 12th. And right now, Apple has also confirmed that there are 25 million users using iOS5 on their devices. Which also means that there are 25 million users who are on either iPhone 3Gs or iPhone 4 or iPad or iPad 2 or iPot Touch 4G.
The company’s stock is also doing really good and has hit an all time high of over $410 earlier this week. Steve’s passing away has caused enough damage to the hearts at Apple, but the company is still doing very well professionally. The culture he built at Apple will still live for ever, and we can still expect a lot of such innovative and masterpiece devices from Apple.
iPhone 4S will also be available in 22 more countries on October 28th. The countries include Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
