P0sixninja just confirmed that the next jailbreak will be a userland jailbreak at the Jailbreakers dev fest, MyGreatFest.
MyGreatFest is an event especially for the jailbreakers across various parts of the world and it’s now happening today. Joshua Hill (a.k.a. @p0sixninja) just confirmed that the next version of Jailbreak will be a Userland jailbreak and the team is ready with the jailbreak right now.
But unfortunately, the team does not have a copy of the bootrom that will be shipped with iPhone, so the team will wait until iPhone 5 is out and then release the jailbreak. The team also announced that they will not be revealing more information about this before they have the iPhone 5 is in their hands.
If you are not aware, @comex was the first to find a Userland jailbreak and released it in the famous and the most simple, jailbreame.com. Here’s what the Userland jailbreak is all about:
The Userland jailbreak is a client side jailbreak. The entire rooting is done on the client (device’s) side. The famous method to do is to use the PDF exploit.
