Google released an update to Google Maps, making it searchable thorough Voice.
Google has been making some serious progress in voice enabling their applications and as a part of it, Maps is now voice enabled.
You can now search Google Maps with Voice. The company posted on their blog about this update a few minutes before. The update seems to be working well. With uttering just a few words like “Directions from Cupertino to New York”, the Maps shows you the directions.
You can also use the Earth Layer plugin to make some more advanced voice commands. This feature might be hitting the smartphones soon. And first hit would be for Android obviously!
Here’s a short video of how it works!
