CyanogenMod up and running on HP Touchpad [Android]

The famous CyanogenMod is up and running on HP Touchpad and the build is in Alpha state. Here’s a video demonstration.

HP discontinued their tablet rival for iPad recently and the Touchpad is now available at various stores for just $99. The Touchpad runs the HP proprietary OS called the WebOS and many have been waiting for it to run Android on it.

Cyanogenmod team has made this possible and they have successfully ported Android onto the HP Touchpad. Cyanogenmod has released the first video of Android running on Touchpad and it’s in their early Alpha stages.

The Cyanogenmod’s vision is to create a multiboot options for the WebOS along with Cyanogenmod. This would be of much help and would definitely boost the Touchpad’s market even if it is not in production currently. The Touchpad is equipped with a Snapdragon processor, which is considerably fast and equal to that of the iPad’s processor. The video below shows the Cyanogenmod running on Touchpad.

The team is now reaching out to you. If you can contribute a Touchpad for them, they could do some more development work faster on porting Cyanogenmod on HP Touchpad.
