[Breaking] Yahoo joins the smartphone saga with its Android Phone!

The title says it all. Yahoo is reportedly launching a new Android phone next month in Japan. It’s been named Sharp Aquos 009SH, and it’s been in the making for the past one year.

There’s been this rumor of Yahoo working on its new Android phone for about a year now and it’s closing in right now. The Android device will make its debut in SoftBank, Japan.

The search giant will obviously integrate a number of features that would include Yahoo mail, Calendar, Search, Movies and a lot more.

The phone will feature Android Gingerbread, a 8 MP camera, 4.0-inch 960×640 pixels display. The display will be closely with the iPhone’s Retina display. The phone will also feature 3G data transfer, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi b/g/n, a microSDHC slot, TV Tuner, e-wallet and the old school infrared.

The Yahoo! Phone is slated to release next month in Japan. It also comes with a two year Yahoo! Premium Membership when purchased with a SoftBank contract.
