Apple has plans of Solar Powered docking stations in future

Apple’s new patent suggests that they have got Solar Powered docking stations for their future products.

Patently Apple just posted some info about Apple’s new solar powered docking stations patent. This is not the first time Apple is being patented for Solar Powered devices. Apple already has a patent that suggests solar powered devices.

This new patent suggests that you can use your iOS devices outdoors and you will be able to charge your device with a dock that would be solar powered. This method is being worked on with a Voltage Converter and a Voltage Controller coupled with a Voltage Converter.

The Voltage Converter is in-turn connected to a Solar Cell that would power an electronic load, which could include a battery or another kind of energy storage device.

The patent does not stop here. This patent also extents to iOS devices’ cameras. The patent suggests that the future iOS devices’ cameras would have a orientation sensor, image sensor and a separate processing system to render auto-rotating and 360 degree images.

The processing unit of the cameras could also hold considerably large programs, that are big enough to run highly sophisticated camera controls and real-time processing.

When do you think Apple will come up with such ground-breaking technologies?
