I’ve been showcasing the power of Kinect and how well it is being furnished with innovation. But this time, the Star Trek like conferencing system has come true with Kinect and iPad. The brilliant men at LAAN Labs has found a way to connect Kinect and iPad, and bring Augmented 3D image recording, that has been recorded using Kinect to play on iPad.
The video below shows the working of this project. The guy in this video shows off a Kinect that captures the 3D data of him and this data is transferred wirelessly to the iPad 2. This is making use of the String Augmented Reality SDK for iOS. This is very similar to the Cisco’s Telepresence.
